This course (2 units delivered together) supports participants in transporting and storing chemicals safely. It also supports participants in preparing and applying chemicals to control pests, weeds, and diseases. This training is suitable for individuals required to handle chemicals for industrial or agricultural purposes and applies to various operational roles, as well as individuals required to manage chemical applications in various settings.
Participants will learn how to prepare to handle, handle, transport and store chemicals, as well as recording storage details. Also, participants will learn how to determine the need for chemical use and prepare an application plan, prepare chemical mixes, calibrate application equipment, apply chemicals and clean the equipment.
Upon successful completion of this training, you will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following unit of competency:

• AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals
• AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases
